For my friends of the Christian tradition, the word "holy" does not mean "pure" as I hear many refer to it. For me, when I hear "purity" conversations I think of the Handmaid's Tale. This is a show I have never watched, but I get it because slavery and misogyny? Yeah, Black women have been there and done that.
There are an abundance of writings on deconstructing purity culture so please Google away on that... Purity seems like an obsession of an anti-miscegenation mind... yeah, the lie of white supremacy is operating in so much that comforts so many...
By the way, when you are out here defending purity, we know it is not a woman of color's virtue you are thinking of... and that is another way we aren't human to you.
